Announcements (previous ones) or

  • 09 Dec: Expect the project and exam grading to be completed on or before 22 December. Good luck with your remaining exams.
  • 17 Dec: the projects are completed graded and the exams are 85% completed. The grades should be available on Thursday or Friday.

  • 18 Dec: to calculate your overall grade, recall the discussion we had in class about the dropped 10%. As an example
  • Assignments = 80% [weight of 0.18]
  • Midterm = 70% [weight of 0.15]
  • Project = 85% [weight of 0.12]
  • Final = 75% [weight of 0.45]
  • Overall grade = (80*0.18 + 70*0.15 + 85*0.12 + 75*0.45) / 0.90 = 76.5, which is rounded to 77%
This approach spreads the 10% overall all the items of assessment.
Also note, the final exam was graded out of 80 points, instead of the allocated 90 points.
