More details about the project's requirements will be coming soon. In our project we will focus on the economics, safety and operability of the process. The process selected for this 4N04 course is described in the PDF attachment below.
As background, we will have Dr. Tom Adams present the flowsheet that was used in the 3G04 course project from 2012/2013. This flowsheet will be the basis for our project. You will have the Aspen flowsheet solution from this 3G04 project available to you as a starting point.
Please `download the document <http://learnche.mcmaster.ca/media/mcmaster/3G04-2012-Project-Description.pdf>`_ and read it before class on Friday. Come prepared with questions for Dr. Adams - this is where you can ask why the flowsheet is linked up in the way it is, get insight about various technologies used, and more clearly understand the purpose of each unit operation. **Note**: this PDF is not your project requirement for 4N04, it is simply as background material.
