Take a look at page 8 and 9 for the FAR values of various industries, showing dates and the improvements made in safety over the past few decades.
12 November	11B	This next class we consider the layers of safety protection in a plant.	Slides	The video sound was corrupted; I might be able to rescue the video later, but there are other priorities at the moment.	Audio
14 November	11C	We finished the BPCS layer (valve failure) and then considered the Alarms and SIS sections in the safety hierarchy. However, there is an interesting addition and the last picture on the page shows a 3D rendering of what it would look like in practice.
