30 November 2012: PEO information

A message from Nicole: Helpful information if you are interested in getting licensed by the Professional Engineers of Ontario:

Step 1: Sign up to be a student member of the PEO (optional)

  • Cost: FREE
  • Why? Gives you access to the student member PEO webpage with a fast and easy access point to information you need about the engineering profession and Professional Engineers Ontario.
  • Sign up here: http://members.peo.on.ca/index.cfm/ci_id/16565.htm

Step 2: Upon graduation register for the Engineer in Training (EIT) Program (recommended)

Step 3

  • Within 6 months of Graduation you can apply for the Financial Credit Program, in which applicants may be able to apply for PEO’s professional engineer licence at no cost. Also at no cost, individuals may register in the Engineering Intern (EIT) program for the first year provided they meet specific criteria established by PEO.
