23 Sep: some updated slides for tomorrow (Wednesday, 24 Sep) and for the next few classes are posted.

23 Sep: minor update: earlier PDF slides from the website had "2013" in their name. The files were correct, just the name was wrong. The hyperlinks to the files have been updated to use "2014", but you do not need to re-download or re-print them.
